American Wigeon in flight

American Wigeon

I was given an assignment to go out and take pictures of birds that were not familiar to me and named them with their proper name. I decided to take some of them in mid-flight, which proved harder than I thought.
Practice makes perfect right. πŸ™‚
The only type of duck I know it’s the mallard duck so I was happy that now I can add another one to my list.
This one is called an American Wigeon (Anas Americana).
Next time I post another pic of this duck, I hope it will be a better one.

  1. How very interesting! I’ve never seen or heard of this bird. Wigeon as in pigeon? Hmm… Very cool photo of it in mid flight. I love bird photography.

I have no idea because this duck doesn’t look anything like a pigeon.
Well if you love bird photography stay tuned because I have more to share. πŸ™‚
