Find the truth beneath the lies
Look past those watchful eyes
Do not stay still and let time pass you by
Be free, fly, and do not hide
If you try hard you will succeed
You will survive
And together we’ll rise

This poem is what came to mind when I saw this Black-crowned Night Heron (Nycticorax nycticorax) lurking and watching the ducks. This night heron is one sneaky fellow for I did not notice him until I snapped the picture. πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you!

I think you are right and he is wishing he could float. I know I would love to float in the calm and nice water. Float for hours with my beloved… πŸ™‚

  1. Funny you didn’t notice the Heron earlier. Snuck up on ya! LOL! Actually, that happens to me quite often. I’ll look at a photo after I took it and find something that I didn’t see when I was taking it. As a result, I always make sure to carefully look at my photos after I take it. I never know what I’ll find. πŸ™‚
