Think: Resolutions

~~~~~~~
Hoping my father doesn’t see this but I am not the type to make New Year’s resolutions.  Never really cared for them but this year I feel differently.
This year I want to focus on learning to see what I am capable of doing with my camera.
You might say I am inspired by what I have seen recently. 🙂
Photography classes and meetups here I come.
Cheers
Happy New Year to everyone that happens to land on my blog.
By the way nothing tastes better than freshly ground nutmeg on your eggnog.  Yum Yum That’s your tip for the day.
  1. Hi 🙂
    My last post about why resolutions do not work might be interesting for you…
  2. Good, make that great resolutions! I’m about as far from an expert as you can get, but you do know where to find me if you have questions you’d like answered. As we’ve discussed, you’ll need to ask, because no matter what other people tell me I will never feel qualified to judge their photos. I can only offer opinions.
    My resolutions are simple. Run more, drop even more weight and get in even better shape. So I can bitch even more about how slow my friends are on a hike. 😛
    Photographically, I want to shoot less, yet make more and better photos. I still plan to go out as often as I do, but every year I seem to take fewer and fewer photos, yet retain more “keepers.” Make sense?
    I also hope to finally set up the insurance I need to be able to start offering in the field workshops. Just another step on the road to giving up my damn day job.
    Happy New Year! I’m definitely looking forward to having a front row seat as your photography gets better and better! Can’t help it, I’m a sucker for a pretty picture. 🙂
    1. I know where to find you, as a good stalker does *wink*, when I need you. 🙂
      I like your New Year’s resolutions. Good luck on you upcoming field workshops. Too bad you live to far away or I so would sign up. 🙂
      Lastly, thank you I hope I don’t disappoint as the months go by…
      1. You’re too funny!
        What, they don’t give you any vacation time where you could come for a visit and take one of my workshops? 🙂
        I don’t expect to be disappointed in the least. In fact I’m anticipating great things.
        1. Nice conversation in these comments.
          Lita, it certainly wouldn’t be disappointing to see you in one of these pictures someday. Until then I’ll enjoy the landscapes and stills. 🙂
          1. Hmmmm, Are you fishing for a picture of me, Mr, John? 😀
            I don’t know about being disappointing or not but I do know I am glad you are enjoying my landscapes and stills.
            Thank you!
  3. Can I admit I don’t like eggnog without having everyone think I’m a Grinch? I do like though, the way you set up this picture. The composition is something of the quality I would have used in the marketing pieces I’ve done.
    1. Oh and thanks for the compliment. The thought that you might actually use this for your marketing pieces leaves me with a smile.
