Hoping my father doesn’t see this but I am not the type to make New Year’s resolutions. Never really cared for them but this year I feel differently.
This year I want to focus on learning to see what I am capable of doing with my camera.
You might say I am inspired by what I have seen recently. 🙂
Photography classes and meetups here I come.

Good, make that great resolutions! I’m about as far from an expert as you can get, but you do know where to find me if you have questions you’d like answered. As we’ve discussed, you’ll need to ask, because no matter what other people tell me I will never feel qualified to judge their photos. I can only offer opinions.
My resolutions are simple. Run more, drop even more weight and get in even better shape. So I can bitch even more about how slow my friends are on a hike. 😛
Photographically, I want to shoot less, yet make more and better photos. I still plan to go out as often as I do, but every year I seem to take fewer and fewer photos, yet retain more “keepers.” Make sense?
I also hope to finally set up the insurance I need to be able to start offering in the field workshops. Just another step on the road to giving up my damn day job.
Happy New Year! I’m definitely looking forward to having a front row seat as your photography gets better and better! Can’t help it, I’m a sucker for a pretty picture. 🙂

There is plenty for you and the family to do. Your husband and son and my wife and daughter can keep each other company while you and I go out with our cameras. 😀

Can I admit I don’t like eggnog without having everyone think I’m a Grinch? I do like though, the way you set up this picture. The composition is something of the quality I would have used in the marketing pieces I’ve done.
