It Has Arrived!

Long ago I won a print when I entered a raffle that my friend Jeff was hosting.
Imagine my surprise when he said I won. I never win. I was like a kid in a candy store searching through his website for the perfect image that would be perfect for my home.

After much deliberation, I settled for this one.

Yesterday, I came home to a big package waiting for me. I couldn’t wait to see how the pic would look over a metal frame. As expected it looks perfectly beautiful and I can’t wait to hang it in my living room.

Excuse the glare, took the picture with the plastic bag still on.

2015 in review

I got this on my email and it’s sparking a small desire to want to start posting again. I do miss posting my words and my pictures…

On a side note:  I am glad they picked San Francisco as the city for it’s my city.  God, I love that city.

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2015 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 1,200 times in 2015. If it were a cable car, it would take about 20 trips to carry that many people.

Photo 101 – Day Thirteen: Moment and Motion

Our lives are made up of big events and tiny moments. Ultimately, life is fleeting, and oftentimes it’s these small moments, this motion, that we love to document.
Think about the fleeting moments you experience each day — from a quiet moment with your child to a busy commute through the subway, among strangers. What will you share with us?
Today’s Tip: Movement is a great way to convey time and fleetingness.

While camping I tried to capture the bird taking off. This meant I had to let it eat steal (several times I might add) the leftover chorizo and egg I had cooked for breakfast. Sigh
Unfortunately, this bird didn’t want to cooperate and got a full belly before I was able to take the shot I wanted.
Boooo
It’s all good, I am still going to share with you the bird taking off, beak full of food, from the pan. She was quite entertaining. She amused me.

Oh and I think this bird is a Yellow-headed Blackbird female.

Hello, my bird expert? Are you reading my blog still? Am I correct? 🙂

Blogging 101 – Day Twelve: Increase Your Commenting Confidence

Today’s task: read six posts written in response to the same prompt, and leave comments on at least two of them.

Oh how I tried to do this task. I randomly picked six posts and I came up with nothing. After my 15th, one I gave up. I did liked a handful of comments but just wasn’t inspired enough to leave a comment.
I don’t know I really have to feel something to leave a comment. I am not the type to write something for the sake of writing something.
I suppose the good thing is you know now that when I do leave a comment on your blog is because I was genuinely touched in some way. That’s good, no?
